Angela, a retired administrative assistant from Moorhead, Minnesota, lives on a fixed income while managing a chronic illness. Though her health limits her ability to work outside the home, Angela continues to devote herself to her loved ones, finding joy in cooking meals and being present for her family.
Despite her determination, Angela recently found herself struggling to keep her cupboards stocked with the nutritious food she needs. For the first time, she turned to her local food pantry supplied by the Great Plains Food Bank, Seeds of Hope. She says the food pantry is “very, very helpful. It’s perfect.”
Because of friends like you and your gifts, Angela received the nutritious food she needs to prepare her family’s favorite dishes, like Indian tacos and hamburger hash. Your generosity ensures that older neighbors living on fixed incomes, coping with health challenges, and still caring for their families can do so with dignity and peace of mind.
Thank you for making it possible for Angela — and so many others — to thrive despite the challenges they face!
