POWErING COMMUNITIES. FUELing HOPE.
Great Plains Food Bank is inviting energy leaders across North Dakota to unite around a bold, industry-wide effort to help end hunger in the communities that power our state and nation.
Together, through the Energy to End Hunger Campaign, we aim to raise $2 million to strengthen hunger-relief infrastructure, expand statewide food access, and support families facing hunger across North Dakota and Clay County, Minnesota.
IN A REGION THAT FUELS OUR NATION, NO ON SHOULD GO HUNGRY
In 2025, over 167,000 individuals and families relied on the Great Plains Food Bank and its partners for food assistance. That’s 1 in 5 adults, and 1 in 4 children, in our region
Rising costs, rural isolation, and limited access to healthy food continue to drive hunger in communities across our state — including many communities essential to North Dakota’s energy economy.
The energy industry has long powered our region. We can also power the mission to end hunger, together.

Together, we are building more than a food bank. We are creating the infrastructure, programs, and long-term sustainability needed to help end hunger across our region.
Build Essential Infrastructure
Support the construction of a new statewide food distribution center designed to dramatically expand the organization’s ability to accept, store, and distribute food across North Dakota. The new facility will increase warehouse capacity, expand cooler and freezer space, improve distribution efficiency, and create room for future growth and innovation
Expand Programs And Reach
Help increase food access in rural and underserved communities by expanding transportation capacity, strengthening direct-service programs, and investing in innovative hunger-relief solutions that meet neighbors where they are. This includes expanding the semi-tractor trailer fleet and creating collaborative spaces designed to support community partnerships and future solutions.
If you are considering a multi-year pledge, a leadership gift, or want to talk about other opportunities, we would be grateful to partner with you in creating a plan that fits your goals and desired impact.
