As a single father of two daughters, Kyle is committed to ensuring his girls have everything they need to succeed in life, including providing nutritious food for them. Working full time at a pizzeria, however, he needs a little extra help every month to make sure they eat well.
That is why Kyle depends on his local food pantry, supplied by the Great Plains Food Bank, to put nutritious food on the table. “I don’t quite earn enough every week to make ends meet,” he says. “But thanks to the food pantry, I get my fresh fruits and vegetables, and we all really like the bread and rolls. Those are so good. The food pantry is really helpful for me and my girls.”
Kyle’s youngest daughter, 15, is still in high school. His oldest daughter, 21, is currently looking for employment so she can help support her dad and provide additional help for the family. “My daughters mean everything to me,” Kyle says. “I’m grateful that the food pantry is there to help me provide for them.”
