Hien has been volunteering for more than three decades. Through job changes, raising three children, and welcoming two grandchildren, her commitment to helping others remains.
Over the years, Hien, now 65, has worked in bakeries, as a certified nursing assistant, and as a driver. Most recently, she worked as a laundress for seven years — until a fall at work about a year ago left her unable to work as a laborer.
As the cost of healthy food remains elevated, it has been difficult for Hien to make ends meet. Thankfully, she can access nutritious food at the Arbors in Fargo, North Dakota, a partner food pantry supplied by the Great Plains Food Bank.
The healthy food Hien receives helps her stretch her budget and still have the nourishment she needs to maintain her health and well-being. Your support helps give back to a volunteer who has given so much of her time for others!
