FARGO – The Marathon Oil Company has made a difference for children in need with a $20,000 gift to the Great Plains Food Bank. Specifically, the gift will benefit the Great Plains Food Bank trio of childhood hunger programs helping feed children in need throughout North Dakota and Clay County, Minn., and is enough to provide 40,000 meals for those in need.
The Great Plains Food Bank BackPack Program, School Pantry Program and Youth Summer Meals Program provides nutritious meals for children in need all year long.
The Marathon Oil Company has been a prevailing partner in the fight to end hunger having donated more than $60,000 dollars to the Great Plains Food Bank since 2019, which has provided more than 120,000 meals.
Battling childhood hunger remains a top priority for the Great Plains Food Bank as each year it provides needed food assistance to more than 50,000 children across the region.
